On September 17, students from Aberdeen High, Edgewood High, Harford Technical High, and Swan Creek School joined more than 1,000 students from across Maryland at the third-annual Construction Career Day, hosted by the Maryland Center for Construction Education & Innovation (MCCEI) at M&T Bank Stadium.

HCPS students had the opportunity to explore careers in construction, engineering, architecture, and transportation through hands-on activities and interactive demonstrations. They also connected with industry professionals, apprenticeship providers, unions, and representatives from colleges and universities to learn about education and training pathways.

This student-focused experience gave HCPS students valuable exposure to the variety of careers available in Maryland’s construction and engineering industries, inspiring the next generation of skilled professionals.
