Good Afternoon Eagles,

A few reminders and updates:

1)      Parent Teacher Conferences are on Wednesday at 5pm – Please contact your student’s teacher if you would like to sign up for a conference via the form provided or email.

2)      Please consider donating candy to the Trunk or Treat that we are sponsoring for the K-5 students from all of the Aberdeen Feeder schools.  If you are coming in for conferences it is a GREAT opportunity to drop off a bag of candy in the office or outdoor Halloween decorations.  Please consider supporting this student run initiative. 

3)      REMINDER about ALL THINGS HOMECOMING 25-26:

 

Homecoming Dance Tickets

·         On sale now through Wednesday, October 15, on School Cash Online.

·         Students must be logged into their own account to purchase tickets.

·         If tickets are not visible, the student has an outstanding school obligation that must be cleared with Mrs. Davis in the front office before a ticket can be purchased by the deadline.

🏆 Homecoming Class Battles for the Spirit Stick

Throughout Spirit Week, classes will compete to earn points toward the Spirit Stick by:

·         Helping decorate their homeroom doors

·         Dressing up for the daily spirit themes

·         Searching for hidden stuffed Eagles around the school each day

·         Donating candy for our Community-Wide Trunk or Treat on October 29

·         Playing in the pep rally games on Friday

College Planning Event - TONIGHT - 6pm - in the auditorium - You can STILL MAKE IT!

Students in grades 3–12 will have the opportunity to take the optional Wellness Needs Assessment between October 20 and November 17, 2025. The assessment helps HCPS learn how to better support students. Families who do not want their child to participate should contact their child’s school counselor by October 13, 2025. Students and families are invited to meet with college representatives, learn about academic programs and scholarships, and explore exciting opportunities at Historically Black Colleges and Universities. HCRASC commUNITY in Motion 5K & Family Fun Run – Saturday, October 18 

The Harford County Regional Association of Student Councils (HCRASC) invites families and community members to participate in the commUNITY in Motion 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run. This student-run event will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Harford Technical High School in Bel Air. Gates open at 9:00 AM and the race starts at 10:00 AM. 

Join HCRASC for a morning of fitness, fun, and community while supporting HCPS student leaders. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Upper Chesapeake Health for Breast Cancer Care. 

Registration fees are $25 for adults and $15 for students. Children under 5-years-old are free. Click here to register

The Board of Education of Harford County will hold Engage for Education listening sessions throughout the 2025–2026 school year. The first session is Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. in the C. Milton Wright High School auditorium.

These sessions are an opportunity to ask questions and share your thoughts on the future of education in Harford County directly with Board members. No pre-registration is required to attend or speak.

The Aberdeen High School Photography Program put together a 2026 calendar highlighting students' artwork from 2024-2025 school year. The proceeds from this fundraiser will help offset the cost of transportation for off-site day trips and any other supplies needed to support our program.

The Harford County College and Career Fair will be held on Wednesday, October 8, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the APGFCU Arena. Students and families will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from more than 100 colleges, military organizations, and local businesses.
